What’s Design Of Experiments – Two Factorial?

DOE, or Design of Experiments is an active method of manipulating a process as opposed to passively observing a process.  DOE enables operators to evaluate the changes occurring in the output (Y Response,) of a process while changing one or more inputs (X Factors).

How To Run A Design Of Experiments – Two Factorial In SigmaXL

Download the GoLeanSixSigma.com Design Of Experiments – Two Factorial Data Set for SigmaXL here.

1. Create Factorial Design – SigmaXL > Design of Experiments:

2. Select [Basic DOE Templates] > [Two Factor, 4 Run, Full-Factorial]:

A DOE worksheet will be created (see the 4th tab at the bottom of the screen):

3. Input the information specific to your DOE, including the results of the experimental runs.

SigmaXL will calculate the results and produce the Charts and ANOVA table lower on the same worksheet:
