Project Scope (aka Scope)

summary

Summary
Template
What is a Project Scope?
The Project Scope has two basic components. The most important is the beginning and end of the process being addressed – the “Start” and “Stop” points – which is most often outlined in the SIPOC. The second part of the project scope addresses what’s “In” versus what’s “Out” in terms of the team’s responsibility. This clarifies what’s being addressed versus what’s off limits. Scope is part of the Define phase in DMAIC and is included in the Project Charter.
