GLSS Empowers Next Generation of Student Leaders & Entrepreneurs With Philippine Consulate General

Philippine Consulate General officers engaged with Filipino-descended students at Farrington and Waipahu High Schools, discussing various topics to boost interest in Filipino culture and heritage.

Supported by school administrations, the Consul representatives introduced a Filipino Culture History course and GLSS CEO & Founder Kalro Tanjuakio also provided insights on career and entrepreneurial opportunities, including grants and mentorship programs led by local educational and business leaders. This initiative aims to connect students with their Filipino roots and encourage academic and entrepreneurial pursuits.

I’m so grateful to be able to mentor, inspire and mobilize the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs at Waipahu High School and Farrington High School with the Philippine Consulate General. By reconnecting students with their roots, we’ll be able to put the hard work, humility and honesty that our culture embodies into action.
Karlo Tanjuakio, CEO & Founder, GLSS
