Is Training & Certification accredited by third parties?

It’s important to note that there is no official governing body for Lean Six Sigma Training or Certification. We do not use third parties such as independent governing bodies to determine the curriculum and requirements of our Training & Certification courses. Our Experts, who have decades of success using Lean Six Sigma in virtually every industry all over the world, have carefully selected specific content which is tailored to be practical, not just conceptual. This helps our students apply Lean Six Sigma, not just simply “know the concepts and tools.” That being said, we cover more than what is required of most third parties and have a much higher standard of quality. Here’s a course outline for Green Belt Training. We encourage you to research the standard bodies of knowledge and compare. 

Do you accept payments via credit card over the phone?

Yes, we accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express both online and over the phone.

Do you accept checks?

Yes, we accept checks for individuals via PayPal or from organizations via mail. We do not accept personal checks via mail from individuals.

Do you accept payment plans?

Yes. We accept payments through PayPal Credit. Here’s how to do this.

Do you provide invoices or purchase orders?

I paid for a course but I haven’t received anything yet. What do I do?

Have you checked your spam folder? Sometimes the welcome email ends up there. If you still don’t see it, please let us know and we’ll have it re-sent anyway.

What is your refund policy?

For individual purchases, if it is within 30 days and the course has not been completed, we offer a full refund.

Refunds are not available for group purchases.

Which Training course (White Belt, Yellow Belt, Green Belt, Black Belt, Lean) is right for me?

How do I get access to your Training?

  • White Belt Training can be accessed for free by signing up here.
  • Yellow Belt Training can be accessed for free by signing up here.
  • Green Belt Training  can be accessed here.
  • Lean Training can be accessed here.

Are there any prerequisites required for Training?

No. There are no prerequisites required for any of our courses. (Exception: Black Belt Training & Certification: GoLeanSixSigma.com Green Belt Training & Certification required.)

How long will Training take to complete?

  • White Belt Training will take approximately 1 hour to complete.
  • Yellow Belt Training will take approximately 8 hours (1 day) to complete.
  • Green Belt Training will take approximately 32 hours (4 days) to complete.
  • Black Belt Training will take approximately 48 hours (6 days) to complete.
  • Lean Training will take approximately 16 hours (2 days) to complete.

How long do I have access to Training?

  • White Belt Training is accessible anytime.
  • Yellow Belt Training is accessible anytime.
  • Green Belt Training is accessible for one year after registration.
  • Black Belt Training is accessible for one year after registration.
  • Lean Training is accessible for one year after registration.

We also offer the ability to access the materials for 1 year for an additional cost. We’re continuously updating and improving our courses, so many learners opt for this easy way to access the latest materials on their computers, tablets and smartphones.

Can I access the Training via mobile device or tablet?

Yes! All of our courses are fully compatible with your tablets and mobile phones. This includes iOS, Android and Windows devices that support HTML5.

Where is the audio? I can’t hear anything.

You may need to adjust your computer’s volume or verify the speakers you are using are turned on or plugged in. You can also try rebooting your computer as it may be driver or plugin related. 

How do I go back to where I last left off in the Training? 

In any of our Trainings you can take the following steps to get back to where you left off:

  1. On the right panel, click the “Menu” tab
  2. Navigate to your last location in the list or use the search feature to filter content

  • White Belt Training is free and can be accessed here.
  • Yellow Belt Training is free and can be accessed here.
  • Green Belt Training costs $699 (Certification is included).
  • Black Belt Training costs $999 (Certification and project review is included).
  • Lean Training costs $449 (Certification is included).

I’m tracking my team in your Learning Management System. How do I switch from Team Leader view to Learner view?

As Team Leader you are able to track and monitor the progress of your learners and teams. To get you started on how to utilize your Team Leader access, make sure you are in Admin view once you are logged in (located in the upper right corner drop down arrow). From there, select ‘Teams’ from the left and select a Team you would like to view. Please be advised that your learners have a different view because they are not Team Leaders. To view your assigned courses, simply switch to Learner view located in the upper right corner drop down arrow.

How do I use the Search feature in the Learning Management System?

  1. Enter the Training Module (in this example, The Measure Phase – see screenshot).
  2. Locate and click on the Menu tab (top right).
  3. Here you can scroll up and down and click a topic or area to review. You may also type in keywords in the search box located at the bottom.

You can always go back and access the training modules to review the material even after completed. Once you access the training module it will no longer state “complete,” but that’s okay. The training modules can stay “in progress” and at any time you can request to update that particular training module to “complete.”

How do I access the Account & Course(s) in the Learning Management System?

Login information will be sent to your email. Please also check your spam folder, since sometimes our email ends up there. Locate the email in your inbox or spam folder and follow the link provided. Create a password, confirm your password, agree to the Terms & Conditions and click Continue. Hover your mouse over the course and click to begin the course.

Lean Six Sigma Certification

Which Certification course (White Belt, Yellow Belt, Green Belt, Black Belt, Lean) is right for me?

Do I have to pay again if I do not pass the Certification exam?

No, you do not have to pay again. We allow unlimited, immediate re-takes.

How long is Certification valid for?

Forever. Once you receive your Certification, you do not need to renew it. (Exception: Black Belt Certification needs to be renewed.)

Do I need to do a project to get certified for a Yellow Belt or Green Belt?

No, a project is not required for Yellow Belt or Green Belt. You simply need to pass the Certification exams with the following scores:

  • Yellow Belt: 70%
  • Green Belt: 80%

How long is the Certification exam?

  • The White Belt Certification exam is 20 questions and must be completed in 45 minutes.
  • The Yellow Belt Certification exam is 50 questions and must be completed in 1.5 hours.
  • The Green Belt Certification exam is 130 questions and must be completed in 4 hours.
  • The Black Belt Certification exam is 185 questions and must be completed in 6 hours.
  • The Lean Certification exam is 100 questions and must be completed in 3 hours.

Can I download my Certificate?

Yes, you can download your Certificate to print or email it as a PDF once you successfully pass the course exam. Your Certificate will be available for download under the “Achievements” tab of your learner account.

You also will be registered in our Certification Verification System where any organization can confirm your Certification using the unique Certification Number printed on your Certificate. The Certification Verification System can be accessed here.

Are you going to send me my Certificate?

If you are interested in a printed certificate from GoLeanSixSigma.com- that can be done if you’re living in the United States. It is $35. Unfortunately, we do not ship outside of the United States at this time. Please contact us to place your certificate order .

How much does Certification cost?

How do I upload my Certificate to my LinkedIn profile?

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to add your Lean Six Sigma Certificate to your LinkedIn profile.

How do I get my Certification badge to appear on my LinkedIn profile?

To have your Certification badge show up on your profile, you must join the member-only groups on LinkedIn. Upon completion of your Certification, you’ll receive a congratulatory email with a link to the respective group. Once you request membership and are approved, the badge will be listed in the Groups section of your profile. If you are a member of many groups, it may be pushed down the list and may not show up without clicking the “+” sign at the end of the immediately displayed list. This list is in alphabetical order. Unfortunately, there is no way to manually arrange this list, so if you want it to show up at the top, you must hide the groups listed before it. Here’s how to do this.

How do I add my GoLeanSixSigma.com Certificate to my LinkedIn account?

Do you offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and/or Professional Development Units (PDUs)?

Yes, we offer both CEUs and PDUs for Yellow Belt and Green Belt Training & Certification.

  • White Belt Training & Certification: 1 PDU
  • Yellow Belt Training & Certification: 1 CEU / 8 PDUs
  • Green Belt Training & Certification: 4 CEUs / 32 PDUs
  • Black Belt Training & Certification: 6 CEUs / 48 PDUs
  • Lean Training & Certification: 2 CEUs / 16 PDUs

How can I report and claim PDUs from PMI for the Training and Certifications I have completed?
