Regarding the Process Walk Interview Sheet, can the process owners really answer the questions since the questions are specific to each step? Also, should the Process Walk and the process flow map already be created before the Interview Sheet is handed out?

It’s not the process owners answering the questions, it’s the process workers. Yes, you are correct. Having an idea of what the process is to be walked (build a SIPOC), identify who will participate in the walk (ideally some of the workers), then invite those that will be participating to an orientation to discuss what I talk about in the Process Walk Orientation for Participants webinar.

Ideally, have a process owner/champion kick off the orientation. At the orientation hand out the interview sheets. Then, only the walkers and interviewees will have the process walk interview sheet. Explain the Cycle Time definitions of the process walk in the orientation just like I did in the webinar. Good luck!
