We always say, “no sponsor, no project,” and we’ve never wavered. It’s better to do fewer projects than assign projects to people without the proper support. What often happens is the projects that are launched with proper sponsors result in success. Word spreads and suddenly there are more sponsors interested in supporting projects. The cycle tends to reinforce itself.
