Yes, PDSA is a variant of PDCA. Some prefer to use the “S” instead of the “C”. The “S” would stand for Study, to imply that it’s not just checking on something, but performing the root cause analysis needed to do the “A” (Act). I have also seen others call “A” Adjust instead of Act.
