A Process Walk is when you pick a business process and you walk the process from start to finish.

Let’s cite an example that we can all relate to: “Ordering Pizza For Dinner” is a process. If you worked at the pizza company, and you wanted to improve cycle time, then you might walk the internal process to see what problems might exist that slow down the process of getting that pizza to the customer.

Here is a real life example of a Kaizen Event that included a Process Walk for the City of SeaTac.
